I have taken the plunge and decided to go completely bi-monthly with this next edition (Dec/Jan). This means that the total distribution of the Directory will increase from 5,300 copies every 2 months to 6,000 copies. The additional 700 copies will be delivered in Mobberley, an area not previously delivered to, at no extra cost to advertisers.
My next issue will now be Feb/Mar 2012. Although this sounds like a long way off it means that my deadline will be mid January so no rest for the wicked!

I am busy getting the December issue of the Directory together at the moment. The last of 2011. Shocking! I have had a really enjoyable year with the Directory this year; improving and expanding the editorial content and making some valuable new additions to the community pages.
There is now a clubs and societies page in the Directory and I would encourage any not for profit clubs to send in their details for inclusion. I am also always open to suggestions on how to improve the Directory. What things would you like to see more of or what would you like included that currently isn't? With only two issues to go until Christmas I am wondering where the year went. Knutsford has seen tough trading conditions this year but despite this there seem to be no shortage of new businesses starting up. Christmas is always a special time in Knutsford and this year I hear that there will be a return of last year's Christmas Market to coincide with the lights switch on which is wonderful news.

Another rainy day - not like summer at all. A couple of weeks left until the September issue goes off to print. Long time no blog! Been through a very busy time with the Directory and looking forward to growing the directory significantly during the second half of the year. July issue is off to print. Sadly not enough hours in the day to do all I want with the Directory but that hasn't stopped the number of advertisers growing again this month. Tired of all the doom and gloom on the news? Buck the trend, get your marketing efforts back into full swing and keep going. When recovery really starts to come then it is those businesses who have continued to advertise and promote during the tough times who will be primed to reap the benefits.

Busy month which I take as a good sign. Businesses are still fighting hard and I am still getting contacted by new start ups which is also encouraging. I am attending the business seminar being sponsored by Barclays at Mere Golf Club later this month so hope to see some of my advertisers there and maybe meet some new ones!
